Hi,

Can anyone confirm that the following is a problem and if
so is there a solution?:
We wish to use the 'Nonediting Author' permission in Calendaring. User X gives me 'Nonediting Author' permission to his calendar. User X invites me to a meeting. If I open the meeting request and click on the Scheduling tab, I can see the details of any of user X's(so-called) "private appointments"! If any one else is invited to the meeting, their private appointment details remain hidden. If I open X's calendar from the Outlook File/Open/Other User's Folder - the private appointments remain hidden. I have been able to replicate this issue
with a number of different users. [Exchange 5.5, Outlook 2002/XP]

Thanks for any help

If you want delegates to see Private Items you can go to Tools - Options - Delegates. Select the person and click on Permissions. Check on "Delegates can see my private items" joegz
"Sometimes you just need to find out what it's not first to figure out what it is."

Hi - thanks for that: I wasn't using the Delegates option but instead am using the premissions tab from the specific properties dialog of the Calendar. This doesn't have the option to turn on or off access to private items as far as I can see - by the way I DON'T want private items visible! which they are when I grant access as described.
Is using the Delegates option the only way around this?

Thanks
