Hi Everyone,

One of my users got the dreaded "Unable to display folder" when Outlook opens. This happens to only the Inbox folder, as all other folders are fine. What I have tried so far: Detect and Repair, started Outlook in safe mode, cleanviews, resetfolders, resetnavpane, did Outlook Today's restore default. Finally, I removed and reinstalled Outlook including Office SP3 and all updates,to no avail.
I have basically ran out of ideas.
Please help!
Thanks in advance

need more info please. Is this an exchange account and their main mailbox or an additional mailbox they are opening? What version of Outlook ? Have you checked the permissions on the inbox incase this is the problem. If this is an exchange account have you tried removing and re-adding the mailbox. What folders are ok and from what level ie. under the mailbox tab or is this subfolders under the inbox ??

Can the user access the inbox via OWA?

Thank you guys for your response. We are using exchange server 2003, and Outlook 2003, and user is using own mailbox, no any additional mailbox. Actually, we' ve had user using OWA with no issues. The exchange admin just got back from vacation and is looking into the problem. Will keep you guys posted.
