Outlook 2002 Auto preview will not turn off

Once you turn on Auto Preview, you can not disable it. You can turn if off, log out of Outlook and then back in and auto preview is back on. How do I disable?

AutoPreview or the Preview Pane? If you really mean autopreview why not just the choice of views?

hmm.. i tried this on my computer, and enabled autopreview, disabled it, closed outlook, and reopened it, it was not on.
this is on 2k

what version are you using? 98 2k xp?

This is on a ghosted compaq laptop with Office XP and O/S of XP with all service packs applied. It is using autopreview not preview pane
