outgoing call routing to wrong trunk intermittently

HI ALL

I have a problem with outgoing calls routing over the wrong SIP Trunk and I have to reboot the pbx to fix this.
I have three SIP Trunks Configured 17, 18 ,19 . 17 is for incoming calls. 18 is for outgoing calls and 19 is for MS Lync clients to get to the pabx and dial out 18.
Every now and then the users dial and in the traces we find that the call is going via the incorrect trunk: See traces below:
The correct trunk is 10.22.9.3 after a while it goes to line 19 9717@10.22.8.210

Any Ideas why this happens?

You need a monitor trace really not SSA, but it appears ARS is sending the call there, you probably have the ARS forms cascaded to go from one to the other at a guess :-)

Im using short codes to point directly to the trunk

and Line 19 is only used for incoming calls from the Lync users which then goes out 18 to break out.
So a monitor trace should help? Im not familiar with all the settings of monitor any guidance?
 
Are the trunks in different outgoing line groups? Just run monitor with the default values :-)

Yes the group Id's are the same as the line number.

I haven't used the ARS because for some reason when I point it to the ARS Table the use gets an "incompatible" when dialing.Maybe its the shortcode but this is what I have:

To me this looks correct but I get incompatible. There is not zero preceding for a line

make it 0N/Dial/N/51:NEOTEL

Your ars seems..."okay"...i guess...0's are usually for international. I would just remove that 0xxxxxxxxxx thing and just put N;/Dial/N@10..22.9.3

are you sure 18 is your outgoing group ID?

Not sure why you are using 0 though; typically it's 9N (in the states at least).

Okay Thanks Ill give that a bash. Yes Im 100% sure 18 is my outgoing ID.
I'm in South Africa so we use zeros to dial locally.:-) Therefore 0N
 
You don't need the @"provideraddress" in shortcodes anymore, just the 1N as with ISDN etc. And if you still feel like using it, only put it in ARS not shortcodes and ARS, it can only break things doing that :-)

I like that they don't require that in the ARS anymore. I feel weird not putting it in there, as I'm used to it, but I understand why they did it.

You will need when the registar is different then the destinations IP address.
We have this as the provider is different then the SBC handeling the calls.

Is this not what the "ITSP proxy address" field is for? So you don't need the "@bollocks" :-)

Believe me, it does not work for our own trunks.
There is a SBC between the IPO and the actual provider.
Thus it needs the "@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" bollocks :-)
But when i have the time i will give it a go to see what happens.

Your trunks suck, we have an SBC on our trunks and do registered or trusted via that, with no need for any port forwarding, STUN or "@bollocks" :-)

Andy, the SBC is in a private network just like the IPO's but the provider is not.
Then you will need it and this has nothing to do with being good or not.
