Hello,

I am trying to come up with a solution to make outbound calls via VDN -> Vector by writing the number to be dialed into UUI.
Based on which VDN the outbound call is made, the corresponding Outbound Calling Number should be selected from the public-unknown-numbering table.

Unfortunately this does not work as the dialing extension is matched with the agent station number and not the VDN.
Am I missing something ? Or is this method not appropriate for what I am trying to achieve?

Objective is to give the agent the ability to choose the Calling Number.

Thanks,

I don't think that will work but maybe someone else has a solution.

What I have seen to give Agents a choice for outbound caller ID:
[ul]
[li]Bridged-Appearance - Set up a unique station with the associated Caller ID. Assign Bridged-Appearance Button 1 to Agent 1, Button 2 to Agent 2, etc. This is OK if only a couple of Agents need to use different Caller ID but can get out of hand quickly.[/li]
[li]Unique Trunk Group - This is really easy if you have SIP trunks. Create a trunk group with just a couple of members and set the outbound caller ID to the appropriate number. Create ARS prefix codes for Agents to dial: 9 "71" 1-212-555-1212 where "71" is associated with outbound caller ID X. The route pattern would use your unique trunk and delete 2 digits.[/li]
