I've just bought a basic system without an operating system. The CDRom drive is already sorted, and I've got the Hard Drive ready for an OS. However, when I go to setup the OS the system just reboots itself (it also sometimes happens when I type in /dir in Dos). I've tried Win 98, ME and 2000 but I get the same response.
I've tried booting both through a Win 98 floppy (and choosing CD rom support), and through changing the first boot device to the CD rom and putting the Win ME/Win2k discs in.
When I try the latter I get to the point when its about to install the OS and then it resets.
Does anyone know what may be causing this and have any tips on how to resolve this?
Thanks
