Open vfp without opening command window

Is ther a way to start VFP 7 without the command window automatically opening?

In your code add the line ..
deactivate window command

However this will not have effect when you give the command on a command window.

Pressing Ctrl+F2 will make the command window come back.

Just curious - Are you distributing VFP to run your application rather than using the runtime? (Isn't this rather expensive?)

I'm just to lazy to close the window everytime I get into vfp. Just thought I could fire it up without opening the window.

you can define a startup program for VFP...Tools - Options - File Locations I believe. Perhaps you could use the line that Ramani provided you above in your startup prg. Might work, haven't tried it, but it seems logical.
