One-X Portal for IP Office and VOIP 2

Hello,

I just installed 5.0 in all of our ip office units and have also installed the One-X Portal. I am able to use the portal with no problem. However, can someone tell me if the VOIP option is available with this portal version.

The whole reason for me to pay to have the Portal option was having to eliminate installing PM on a traveling employee's laptop. With PM, the employee can use their headset and make a VOIP call. However, I can't find anywhere where the employee can access this option from the browser client version of the One-x Portal for IP Office. The same goes for Telecommuter option.

In anyone knows please advise. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

This is not an option yet in 1XP

You need to wait for 6.0 to get this working.
It will be there in march

Indeed this is not what 1XP does, there is as tlpeter says an IP office video softphone coming soon but it isn't associated to 1XP, it is a standalone programme installed on the PC much like the original softphone :)

I know it integrates, I meant it isn't associated with the installation on the server, you need to install it locally on the machine not launch/access it via the web :)

Can't login with 1XP
I have had a bad night, could not sleep at all so i am not have patience :)
Normally i do not have much patience so there is not much left of it :)

How does the existing Soft Phone compare to the soft phone version used with the PM Pro. For some of my less IT savvy users the soft phone version on the PM Pro is cumbersome.

Also, does the existing separate Soft Phone (no the new video version not out yet) need a separate license if I already have the Release 5 Power User licenses.

It uses the existing Power user licences, at the moment R6 is a licenced upgrade, I'm not sure if that will change on GA or not. It can use an existing extn number or a new one unlike the Phone Manager softphone, voice quality is on par but is obviously subject to the same issues if the bandwidth/Qos isn't good, I haven't done much remote stuff yet but internally the video call quality is pretty good too :)

I have the softphone working with 1XP
It is very easy but the 6.0 1XP is not that bug free yet :)
When i change a user in 1XP it says that it does not have a license assigned.
A complete reinstall and configuration does do the job.
I will stay away from it now until there is a better release.

tlpeter - can you point me to which one of the documents covers the integration of 1XP and Softphone? Can't seem to find it! Thanks.

It's in the softphone How to on the IPOffice-PI site, it's rather brief :)

Ok, read it. It's brief, and for a "How to" doc it's pretty rubbish. How do you run the softphone in application mode?

Just register it.
The other mode is just open 1XP too :)
Then you only need to put the softphone on the background but it is working the same.
