I can forward off premise to area codes 832 and 903 but I can't to other area codes. I have no problems calling numbers on the phone. The system is MICS with a 4.1 software and a T1 with DID'S. How do I do that? Thanks

I call forward using Feature 4 with other area codes. It shows on phone that it is forwarded but when i call the DID it gives me a fast busy. I tried Feature 84 and it gives me the fast busy also. It works on area code 832 and 903. Thanks

So you're just doing F4 + the phone number? You should have to use a destination code with routing. When you call forward you should be dialing F4 + destination code + telephone number.

F84 (line redirection) can only be used with lines that appear on the telephone. The extension must have redirect allowed, and lines involved in the external transfer must have supervision activated.

When I forward it to 832+7. I do Feature 4 823+7 no problem and 1+902+7 no problem. 713 is a local area code, I forward it but when I call the DID I get a fast busy. SO what do I need to do to add all the other area codes in the United States? Thanks

How do I do the destination code with routing to include all area codes? Thank

Create a new route under Services - Routing Services - Routes (002, for example). Dial out will be none, but there is a glitch in programming so temporarily enter F78 here. Then enter the line pool to be used for forwarding (pool A or PRI-A, etc).

Then go to Services - Routing Services - Destination Codes to create a destination code (7, for example). Under Normal Mode assign the route (002) you crested above.

Go back to Routes and change the dial out for route 002 to none.

If extensions have redirect allowed and line pool access allowed you are all set. To forward you will then dial F4 + destination code (7) + telephone number.

When I went to check out what you had posted, then I noticed that I wasnot getting to the system. The password (CONGIG) worked but it wasnot the system password. I have a RAD to hookup to system. How do I do that with my laptop? Thanks

The previous telephone person has changed the system cordinator password. I was trying to see where a DID had as a prime line. When I went to lines==it came up--lines-- showed lines--then it came up==line name 1XX and that was it. And then I started on the other problem, I could only enter Feature 7. Thanks

I put in F**CONFIG---**CONFIG. I let me in but I wasnot getting to the system cordinator part.

When-i go to lines show --show line___,enter 170, show , it has name: line 170, there is no show arrow

No I am using config---the system password has bEen changed to something elSe -- how do I get in a rad?
