We are currently running a Netware 5.0 Server in a network consisting of Windows XP and Windows 98 machines (predominatly Windows XP). When a user logs into the network, a few seconds after they enter their user ID and password on the Novell Client screen, a box pops up saying 'Slow Network Detected', and prompts to use either the Local Profile, or to Download the profile...
In order for appropriate settings such as the MS Exchange settings for Outlook to load properly, the user must use the DOWNLOAD option. However, we are having a widespread problem of users who are either clicking LOCAL instead of download, -or- they type their password and walk away, and after 30 seconds, the machine automatically selects LOCAL.
Is there a setting change or registry modification that I can perform which will result in the profile automatically being DOWNLOADED from the server, instead of prompting the user for action?
Thanks for your help!
