I made a macro (Excel 2000) to speed up my repetitive task. It worked for a while, but "poof" the macro was no more. I had saved it in the personal workbook. Now when I go to look for the macro the personal workbook is not an option to select. I still have the options to all open workbooks, and this workbook, but the one that used to be there for the personal workbook is gone. I have already confirmed that the personal workbook still exists. How can I get the thing to come up in the pull down list that shows in tools/macros? Please keep in mind I am a novice so don't answer with computer programming lingo that will go over my head ;-)

First make sure that the Personal.xls file is saved in your XLStart folder.
Second, open the Personal.xls file. Then go to your window menu and select hide. Then close Excel. It will prompt you to save Personal.xls. You want to save it.

Now your Personal.xls should be available to you whenever you start Excel

HTH,
Eric
