Hello everyone,

Is there a way to setup an access list on a norstar, for example I would like to have a system route a specific phone number, incoming from outside to be forwarded to a specific extension on a norstar, that being an voice mail.

Please help, as I'm not sure if this is even possible.

Thanks a lot.

K,

I take it you want the phone system to recognize and certain out side callers phone number and transfer it to a certain desktop phone. That cannot be done that I know of. Your best bet is to Point one of your incoming lines to a ring group or a particular phone.

what vm do you have .there is a option in vm to route a specific number to an extension "need caller id/pri" or do we have it backwards you have a pots line/incoming and you want it to end up in a vm box please let us know

That's right, we have an empty office at the diffrent location and one phone line that is forwarded from there to our current location, and we do not want that line to be answered by the AA here in our current location, but to be singled out and transfered to a voice mail.

The CLID routing feature in Voice Mail will transfer that call without an AA anouncement. But AA still has to be set to answer the call. It works well unless the caller whom you wish routed calls from other numbers. The feature is great with the newer voice mails and Call Pilots where outbound transfers from mail boxes are an option.
