I have experience programming Norstar systems.
I a few days I need to install a PRI card to and MICS 6.
I read the tip for basic setup.

Can anyone give me an example of how to program DID's
They will also need to go to voice mail on no answer.

recd # = digits sent by the CO
target lines start at 157 (one per DID#)
assign target line to required extension (s)

and you are outa there ...

Also, set the received digit length (usually 3 or 4).

I'd also program the prime set for each target line to be the set where the target line is assigned to appear & ring.

Sorry to barg in but I'm in the same boat with PRI DID instal.

Dumb question, how is the main number handled verses DID to a target line, does the main number become the first target line, 157 and the DID following?

Does the PRI handle roll over calls? Is there a specific place to find info on "How To install a PRI, step by step" the Installer Manual and Coordinator Manual can lack User friendly for first timer.

The main number will have have a DID number and have to be assigned to a target line as well.

On a PRI, there is no need for hunt groups. The CO will send the call and the DID digits everytime, you can configure your nortel what to do with it from there.

You do not need to progeam a Target Line for every number. If the number is not assigned to anyone there is no need to make a Target Line and point it to the operator. All you need to do is make the Prime set the Operator for the PRI Channels then any number that comes in that does not have a a Target line with REC Digits will just go to the Prime Set.
