Hey all,

I Put this one on the back burner - but finally got it IN-SERVICE/IDLE. But now I'm running into a problem. I can place a call over the circuit, but the other end cannot hear me. I can hear them fine.

The Cisco 3640 has an 8-digit dialplan built into it prefixed: 8-XXX-XXXX, so when I dial 8 (ARS Access Code 2) + the seven digits, (inserting a second 8 on the route pattern screen) it rings through, and I can hear the called-party. But they can't hear me, HOWEVER- they can hear me pressing numbers on my dial-pad, but no Talk-path... Same result dialing Facility Test Calls FAC...

Interesting....?

Any information or Help.... Please....

Thanks in advance-
Chris

Paste the configs of the routers, and I can help you.

There in lies the problem... They won't give me access to the box. I only have access to the PBX. The box is remotely maintained from New Orleans, and I am in New England.

A general follow-up question then~ do you believe it is a config error in the 3640 rather than the PBX? I can't find anything in the PBX, but perhaps overlooked.

I will try and get the configs to post...

Thanks for all information.

Regards,
Chris

Ok I've got the configs from the routers. Is there a certain thing I should be looking for??? I can post - but it probably wouldn't come out legible...

Thanks,
Chris

Hello 98Converter
I would bet money that the problem is in the router configs.
I would make sure the following commands are in the configs.
call-rsvp-sync
voice call send-alert
voice rtp send-recv.

One other thing to look at is the IOS version.
Some have bugs with one way audio and such

Cisco web site have very good trouble-shooting
guide for one-way audio on thier voice gateways.

Hope this helps

Did you ever get the problem resolved? I'm having the same issue on a new install???

Well our Network Engineer is working on the routers, reconfiguring as needed. It has been determined that it is not the PBX, due to the fact we can talk with 4 other sites now, 2-way conversation at that...

If he figures out the problem on the router config, I'll post.

Regards,
Chris
