A quick outline:

When using a 4612IP phone I am unable to send DTMF when using a TDM trunk.
DTMF can be sent from other non-IP phones on this system.
DTMF can be sent when using an IP trunk.

System:

Version: Definity 9.5
C-Lan: TN799B
MedPro: TN2302AP

I would guess that on the IP FTP server, and therefore on the IP phones there is firmware that is not compatible with the system versions. If this is the case can someone let me know with firmware version is the latest release that can be used on my system and where I can download this from?

If you think there is another cause please let me know.

Thanks for any help you can give.

you might want to check your touchtone receivers...
also make sure you have the latest firmware on the medpro board..

Thanks BuckWeet.
This would most likely solve my problem, however with the B type C-Lan I am unable to upload new firmware to the C-Lan or MedPro cards. What I will need is a version of the phone Firmware that will work with the existing system, but I do not know which verion this is or wher eto download it.

Would I be correct in saying that the DP type C-Lan is incompatable with the 9.5 Definity system, and so firmware upgrades to the cards are not an option?

DP's can run on the 9.5's if you get a maintenance release i think

check on ebay though, can pickup 799c's for cheap...

not to try and sell anything on here but I have one that I can part with :)

Do not bother, I am suffering the same with a S8500 and 4610SW phones. I am just requesting information a long time and still the problem is there, I´m sure it is a bug with Ip phones only, but I am still trying to solve it.
ASAP I solve it I will repost you.

Hi,
I just resolved the problem last week on my S8700. R12
the bug should come from DS1 card.
So you have to the following commands:
Warning : this command cut all current communication on related DS1. For example i consider one of your ds1 board
(pri access board) is 01a02
- busyout board 01a02
- change ds1 01a02
- in field Connect : you should have 'pbx', replace with 'network'. En type f3 (enter)
- once again change ds1 01a02
- replace 'network' by 'Pbx'
- release board 01a02.
if you want to test on one DS1, remove one trunk from your group and create a specific trunk gr with thi trunk and place a call with the tac code assigned for this new trunk grôup
Keep me informed
Good Luck,
French loves S8700
