Customer is has IPO 406 v3.2(54) with embedded voicemail. Currently they are set up with a time profile to have the auto attendant answer at night and to the main hunt group during the day. Now the customer wants to be able to activae the auto attendant with a night service button. Any thoughts??????

If i'm not wrong u can only program such a button on ds stations. What u do is program the function "set huntgroup night service" to a button and fill in the huntgroup number in the number field(sometime you need to use huntgroup name between quotes instead of the number).

Other wise you can make a feature code with the funtion "set huntgroup night service".

Also make a button/feature code "clear huntgroup night service".

Good luck.

I know how to program the night service buttons when it comes to VM Pro, but it will not work that way when using embedded voicemail.

Point the incoming calls to a single user. Program a button with the Call Forwarding All Feature (Found in emulation/call forwarding all) with Action Data set to AA:<Name of Automated Attendant>

Works like a charm. I've had to do it for several customers. The only challenge is they lose their own mailbox while the calls are forwarded to the night attendant.

IPOKoolaid,
Could the phone use a group mailbox for its own MB, and use the user fwd to control the fwd to the AA?

To call the phone transfer or dial the group number, so it would go to the group MB but ring at the phone? WHile the user still drives the calls to the AA as you suggest?

Another option!

Set a shortcode to set the Huntgroup Out of service

In the Out of Service destination put AA:AA:<Name of Automated Attendant>

That should solve it!

not strictly required - the "Set Huntgroup Night Service" feature actually toggles the state, so users only have to remeber 1 code. The downside with some users is that they forget which state they are in!

Take Care

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

I've never tried that, but it should work. As far as using night service with embedded vm, I do not think that will work. Has anyone tried it and had it work?
