Hi all.

I have 2 questions.
*Option 11-C w/ Meridian Mail*

1st-I have Muzak for our on-hold messaging. Any phone in the system that hits the hold button sends the caller to the Muzak voice over message. How do i find the DN for this?. mainly because I would like to use it on other on hold calls(revert)

2nd-How do i find the extension for the Night message? Mainly because the message has changed to another message and is looping. I looked at the TOD controls with no luck. My receptionists puts the system in night mode by pressing forward twice.

Thanks for your time.

Txs for the reply MuddY. I found no direction with the prints. It seems like everything may be setup via Meridian Maile Voice Administration. If I could just figure out what the FWD key does and what DN or ID its calling; on the Main phone it would help a great deal

Txs guys.

The actual route was Rt 6 1 (not 61), my bad. To find it I had to type 6 at the "Rt" prompt and not 6 1 ?

anyways, i hit Rt 6 and this is what I found

make a change in ld 16

TARG x1

the 6 1 is route 6 member 1.. ld 21 ltm on route 6.. you'll see each member's tn.. if you do a ltm cust 0 and return to the bottom, you will see the tn of all the trunks in your switch... fyi

john,

what does that change in ld 16 do and how do I change it?

ld 16
chg
rdb
0
6
return down to targ, enter x1

what that does is allow stations with tgar 1 to hit that trunk.. the sets that can hit it now, do not have tgar 1.. any match tgar to targ blocks the station from using that trunk... on my "code blue" over head, i have tgar 1 2 3 4 5, for a set to have access to that paging route, the set must have tgar 6... that keeps unwanted "guest" pages.. before bars that was a big part of routing, to block a station from ld or local, the station matched the route, tgar to targ... on routes you can enter several targs, on stations you can enter one... default for a route and default for a station is one... changing just that prompt (on the route) will not effect any other routing..

My receptionists puts the system in night mode by pressing forward twice."

Print the TNB of this phone and you will see where she is forwarding it.

txs all,

I will test these solutions tomorrow and will report back

txs for the time

john, I was able to enable all the sets to dial the on hold Dn. Thanks for showing me that. At least now I sorta understand how the targ and tgar relate. Now i can disable some of these phones from using the external paging

As for the Dn for night messaging. I did a TNB on the receptionist DN and saw that they key had a:

Code:
 KEY 04 4 5489

5489 is our voice mail service I am not sure what the 4 is for and how it is finding the Voice Service ID that the night message relays to the caller
