Hi again all- Thanks to those of you who provided answers to my question on the IPMediaProcessor board, now I have another question for you.

How do I go about using Netmeeting as an H.323 client/softphone talking to an Avaya? I have a license for IP connections but I have no idea how to use it. Do I setup the stations with a type of H.323 or is there some other trick to it? Also how do I setup netmeeting itself to log into the switch? I assume the gateway would equal the CLAN's IP but I'm not sure what format the login information format would be.

Anybody out there who can point me in the right direction again I will owe a big one to. Thanks! -David

Depending on you're version of the pbx you just take an existing station and on the first page of the change station form make ip softphone a yes. You also need a security code this is also found on the change station form at the top. It can be anything you want. You also need a working clan card that has a reachable ip connection from the pc you're using softphone on. Just download softphone from Run through the install and use road warrior mode. It will ask you for a server address which is the clan card, and an extension and the password. That should be just about it. Oh yeah you'll need a medpro also to give the pc running softphone dialtone.
