Hi all,
I have a micros e7 ws5, had to workstations...I have sold on workstation and now I cant run an end of day. It keeps telling me it can not communicate with ws2 because it is set to inactive. how can I fix it to where I can run reports with just ws1?

I realize this post is two months old, but since there was no response yet, and since I had the same problem when trying to use a system that had one terminal that wouldn't boot, I figured I would relate what I found.

If you haven't figured this out yet, you need to access the Configurator and remove the references to the second workstation (terminal); doing this will automatically reconfigure the Autosequences (also in the Configurator, Autosequences is where the end of day and other functions are configured) so that the first terminal is no longer trying to communicate with the second.

For an example of what I am referring to, go into the Autosequences section of Configurator and select end of day, and you will see in the configuration that both workstations are listed there. Once you remove the reference to the second terminal from the Workstations section, it will not appear in the Autosequences section anymore, and therefore will not attempt to communicate with it when running end of day or other functions.

Hope that helps...
