Need help setting up an autofill field Access 1

I am able to set up a combobox for a field so I can choice the value from a second table list. I can also create a querry that will lookup the fileds. The problem is, I can not get the secondary fields to autofill from the combobox.

Is the an step by step instruction avaiable?

The first field is a "Name" and the autofill field is for "address line 1"

I would like to be able to choose form a drop down list, for the name and have it autofill the address line 1 field and so on.....

I have set up the correct relationship because I can get the correct results to appear using Crystal Reports but can not get it to appear in Access 2000

I would appreciate a response to Mike's question as well. If there is an easy way to do this? I think I've done this before but with my small amount of Access knowledge, I really am not qualified to provide a response.

I did however, want to hear from the exports, so thought I'd post to this question and bring it to the attention of the rest of the group once again.

I experimented and found out how it is done!

1. Create your tables (Table A and Table B) with a common ID, so you can link the record on both tables.
2. Connect each record with the relationships.
3. Create forms for each table (Form A and B)

4. Create a “Master” table that has a global ID and at least one other field.
5. I made my Global ID the primary key, as an Autonumber.
6. Link the Global ID with both Common ID’s from the realtionships view.
7. Create a Form for the “Master” Table.
8. On the Master table, Create tabs.
9. On each tab create a sub form using the Sub-form Wizard. When the wizard asks, select from an existing form, (Form A).
10. Use the wizard to connect the global ID with the common ID on the sub-tables. It works better if you choice the fields instead of having the wizard choice the fields.
11. Repeat steps 8 and 9 for a second tab and select Form B.

If all the relations are correct, when you start entering info into the second filed on the Master table the Autonumber will automatically fill into every sub form.
