Hallo,
we use Win 2000 Server. And we need MTS for this machine. Where can I download MTS??

Bye Micha

Dear Micha
MTS is by defult installed as "COmponent Services" if u haven't installed this service in ur Win2000 Server at the setup time then u could installed it at later time by "Add Remove Windows Component"
In short its a service which Win2k uses so u don't have to installed serperate software for this,i
i hope u understand what i means

Thanks,
is MTS called differten in Win2K? I must configure it in the dcomcnfg.exe dialog, but it isn't in the List.

bye Micha

dear micha
well actually there are some innere differnce b/w COM+ (now named in Win2k) as to MTS based COM,but the code u write for MTS based COM will work perfectly with COM+ component,u can see COM+ componet as
COM+ = COM + MTS
got it?
now according to your question about dcomconfig.exe well i think u r going in wrong direction,COM+ or MTS based Components are bound to run inside MTS either MTS for WIN NT or Component Service for Win2k,the dcomconfig.exe utility is for instlling or configuring Components for clinet remotely accessing the compoents accesing at server,in COM+ or MTS based COM there is an EXPORT Facility which will enable you to make APPLICATION PROXY for the clients..you can easily make it from there
If you still have any questions please feel free to contact me
