Does any one know if you can move a TN750c (Announcment) to a diff slot without loseing any "data". I need to consolodate a cabinet but I don't want to re-record everything.. V7 G3si..
I did it in December. You're going to need a spare TN750C to make the change. This is a multi-step proces.
Install the new TN750C.
Add the Data Module associated with the new board.
Backup the old board to the flashcard.
Do a 'change integrated' and specify the from and to slots
Physically swap the two boards.
Remove the Data Module on the old slot.
Thanks.. One more question.. I currently have two boards both with "data" is it posible to change them by swapping whith the steps above and not lose there annoucments.. I guess what im asking does useing the board to register the data mod mess with the data saved in the flash.. Trying to advoid a 600 dollar purchase..thanks for the tips..
No, you'll overwrite and/or corrupt the board. What if you just do a "change circuit 1" (assuming PN 1) and define the slot as having a TN750? This will let you add the data mod without actually having a board there.
Ok the pbx let me add a DataMods for the new positions withoud a pysical boards.. Another question is I only have /had one Announcement Datamod entry for the two cards is that normal?.. it been working that way for years.. I asume that for moving both cards I need to have a datamode entry for each card that is moving? sorry the datamod thing is confusing me alittle I haven't done much work with them. If someone has a minute and could quickly explain the relation ship of datamod and the announcment boards that would help.. if it's not that simple i'll just look it up..thanks again guys..
