I have a user that is changing offices. Do I need to setup that new extension for him or can he take his existing extension with him by me changing the extension number in office manager?

I'm using Ip406 4.2(4) v2. Thanks.

The best way is to just repatch the phone to the correct port or if you are you using IP phones it doesn't matter it will keep it's settings. Or are you talking about an SCN environment?

I'm just using the ip406 with 5410/5420 phone sets and PM Pro.

Then look in Manager or System status and see what port his/her extn is on and trace the cable coming out of that port and move the end not plugged into the system to the new port number in the new office :-)

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.
