Move Option 81 or Migrate to Option 81 S

We may be moving our systems to a new floor. is it more cost effective to move an option 81 or install a new system, like an option 81S?

Moving the system is cheaper, of course. You don't have to buy a new system then.

There is no such animal as a cs1000s 5.5 or option 81s.

All CS1000s or CS1000M (chassis or cabinet based) become a CS1000e when upgraded to 5.X. CS1000M SG or MG (options 61 or 81 respectively with a signalling server) are still CS1000M SG and MG.

As to a cost, you need to speak to several vendors. Pricing will vary based on the vendor.

Depending on the size of your system I would think between 20 and 50,000 would be in the range for moving the system, maybe more if it is a very large system. Is the MDF staying or going etc? If you were to purchase a new system it would run well over 150,000 so you need to move the system.
