MICS ANSWERING LINES

Here's one for ya. I have a MICS w/ 7.1 software. I get dial tone on all lines which come off a fractional T1 to Adtran router. Outgoing calls are good to go. However, anytime a call comes in, no matter which line it is, it rings a half ring on that line and line 1 then goes to dead air. i can see lines off hook on sets. I removed amphenol from Adtran and dialed in.

My lines will ring but disconnect once i reconnect. I can hear the switch click as though it is answering the calls. Going out tomorrow to replace cards and if unsuccessful replace cabinet. Any thoughts?????

Check if there are any target lines assigned to AA
If you cant find anything try "if u are using target lines" to make each one private to its assigned set .That way you know each one is only assigned to correct set.

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Maybe the lines are too hot, excessive voltage. Try setting the lines for short CO and try again. If this does fix the problem the router needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Thanks for all the input. I swapped out the cabinet/software and reprogrammed and I'm good to go....Going to check this cabinet out and see what i come up with. Thanks again

Did you try to do a startup before you swapped system and software?.

Under line programming was line 1 set to Auto Answer?

yeah did that also and checked for auto answer on all lines... that system was an old 0x32 Meridian Norstar cabinet w/ 7.1 software. it's been up and running since a year ago w/ no problems and all of a sudden the lines started seizing up. it's a done deal now and they're happy. thanks
