Messaging split??

Hi,

How does messaging split works?

Because I need to make a vector such that if the operator cant be able to answer the call, the calling parties can drop message for the extension they want to talk to.,

If the operator has a mailbox assigned to the extension then you can add the messaging step to your vector. You will need to know what hunt group is used for messaging. I use hunt 98 so my step in the vector would be as below.

messaging skill 98 for extension 20xxxx

But in all vectors you have to tell it to go to this step for it to drop it in the mailbox.

So the extension would be the extension of what? The operator? So all voicemail will go to that extension? So the operator can hear all the voicemail messages even if it was not for him?

It doesn't matter what the mailbox is. Is the operator using a console? If so then build a mailbox and then assign a button on the console. The button is called an auto message waiting light. I really need more info from you though to work out the answers your looking for. Tell me what you want to do not what you are trying to do.

Attendant is using a softconsole. I want such that I has one mailbox in which when operator cant answer the call, the caller can drop a message.
