Has anyone had a problem with a frequent clicking noise on a Merlin Magix? It is connected via a point to point T1. The clicking noise occurs when accessing the T1 not on internal calls. Should I just replace the card??

My first thought is you have a CLOCKING problem (or some other set up problem) on you T1.

Look under maintenance and see if you have any errors on the T1 SLOT.

I have 2 legends with clicking noise on the T1's and it IS coming from the system somewhere. I reseat all of the cards and it goes awat for a little while then it comes back.

New T1 cards did not help and neither did firmware upgrades. It will probably turn out to be a backplane problem, but the customer has learned to live with it, I sure wouldn't like to her it though.

Never heard a T-1 click before, but a DID or E&M card has relays which snap each time a call comes in on one of the DID trunks. If it's happening on a T-1 card, maybe there is a bad cap somewhere. You should be able to listen and tell exactly where its coming from.
