I have a 40 user network with two Windows 2000 servers, one file and one exchange, both are dc's with active directory replicating, all the workstation clients are Windows 98SE.
Intermittently some of the clients loose access to a mapped drive later in the day for no reason. Does anyone know a fix?

I know that Win2kpro workstations will drop unused connections to reduce resources (we have 2k ws on NT4.0 servers and this is what they do.) It would make sense that Win2k servers are doing the same thing.
Does the drive map come back when you try to access it? (i.e. In 2kpro the connection appears in windows explorer with a red "x", and when you try to connect it will refresh to a "good" condition.)
Or does this require you to re-map the share to the drive letter again to gain access?
