Is there any way/program that you can use to map a network drive for someone remotely. So from sitting at you machine you can say this machine - map this drive?

Well you could use some kind of remote control software like VNC, or if you are using Windows XP you have the desktop sharing capability.

VNC is really easy to use and install, we use it here at work. The best thing is that its totally free. If you really want to pay you could use PCAnywhere from Symantec, which is a good product that has more features than VNC but it's usually not needed and why pay for something you can get for free.
