hi
can anyone assist in knowing why extensions dedicated to a mail server - 7112, 7113, 7114 etc would be calling phones and blocking up inbound lines and callers from getting through at a particular time of the night/day?
do you have the fax on demand capability? Have them transfer the call quickly to a fax machine in the office. You would get multiple calls and from different ports for unsucessful delivery. How many phones get this type of call?

thanks i will get them to try - not sure if we have fax on demand capability but it happens to a group of about 10 phones. Maybe they have reports that run each night that may be unsuccessful as you say...
i might check the mail server for something strange scheduled at that time... it does not sound like a switch problem.. if the calls were from cp, and your using desktop or fax on demand i would look at the cp config...
anytime we have a report of a fax like tone calling a station we either forward the station to a fax (if possible) or have the user try to transfer...
