I am changing plastics on the M7208 old style phone. Once the plastics have been changed, I am having a problem with volume in hands free mode. You can hear the dialtone, but the volume not go up or down. Has anyone experienced problems with this or know what I might be doing wrong to cause this?

by plastics do you mean key caps?

if so it might be a stuck button

It would be the housing of the phone. I have checked and there are no stuck buttons.

Try pressing mute on the mic and see if it works.

When I mute the mic, it does work. when you unmute the mic and turn the volume down, it won't go back up again. The phone works fine without the back on it. As soon as the back is put on, the problem persits. I have looked at the plastic and everything seems to look the same on the old vs the new.
