Our company installed a Cisco switch, and all the computers that accessed the NT Server, could not connect to the NT Server. All the machines are windows 95 and 98. We had to instal lmhosts file on every machine to fix the problem. We did this on a about 50 computers so far. There's about 30 computers left. Does anybody know what we didn't configure properly on our switch or NT Server? We had switches (not Cisco) in here before, and we did't have problem connecting to the NT Server. And all the computers are on a LAN and not a WAN. Yes on our WAN we had to install lmhosts file. But I dodn't see why we cannot connect to NT Server without the lmhosts file.
