when the power goes off the pbx comes up with wrong date and time.Never had anything like this before any help
thanks

I use ASA to sync the time back up. Just make sure your PC time is correct.

Why not solve the power problem then you won't have an issue with the time?

We had issues w/the time stamp on our Prologix also (no longer have it). We tried the latest patch which ended up breaking a feature, so we reverted back and continued to have random issues with the time and it was not due to reboots, it would just happen. We also tried swapping out the processor several times and after the last one, it finally held. Our date stamp at one time jumped ahead about 50 years.

The clock is a function built into your g3 processor board. If it's losing or gaining time and you cannot accept this, replace it.

As randyb19 mentioned, you can use ASA to sync your g3 time with the ASA PC which may be kept in sync with a reliable clock source.

I want to thank you for taking time to help me with my problem. I had heard that it might be the tone board, but I wasn't sure which pack to order. The problem happened when the storms came through last week and knocked out the power to alot of business's. I think they said they were out about 5 hours, and when it came up it had the wrong time. I set the time and statused the syn. everything looked good but it kept going back to the wrong time and was also dropping the link to the intuity. I dialed in today and reset the syn, time and link. I also dialed into the intuity and reset time and restarted the pms link. Everything is holding now.
Thanks Again.

There is a battery on the motherboard which would hold the time. If the battery won't hold you will lose the time.
