This forum has been a great way for me to get myself into far more trouble that I would otherwise be able to. I thank all that contribute here, because this type of forum seems to be the exception these days.
We have been deteriorating for a while now.
Had set up an Ipsec VPN using TP-link routers at both ends. using 2 9608 and 1 9641g. But it was less than reliable, (I set up the router with a lamp timer to reboot every day at 5:00 in the morning). Set up new VPN using Sonicwall NSA 220 at both ends. Very stable. HOWEVER, only one of the 9608s would connect. We dropped to only one extension at the remote office. This is my home and the main location is now mostly a wiring closet. This system has gone through a few changes. Previously it had a IPSEC Vpn set up at an extension office, which was then closed.
I had tried to get mobile twinning to work previously with no success, nor could a local Avaya Certified. But I thought I would revisit that because it would take the load off the need for VOIP and allow me to be far more mobile. And I decided to do it now, because my WinXP VM pro server died.
And now, while replacing the VM server and trying to get twinning to work we lost the last extension. The VPN is up and running, I can access some resources across the net. But I can't connect through phone manager now, I could before I started "Fixing" the IP Office.
I realize that some of this is probably networking issues. But I'm not sure exactly what.
Office IP range 192.168.180.0
Home IP Range 192.168.181.0
the office is about 2 hours away.
I'll answer every question you have, if you need IP office config data, I'll have to take a day and go to the office.
Here is my wish list.
I need off premise extension to work again.
I'd like to have mobile twinning for a couple extension to work
I'd like to be able to manage from the remote site again. This is my home and the main location is now mostly a wiring closet.
