Nortel EAC 4.65 on W2K was installed by Admin, and establishes VPN when Admin is logged on. When user logs onto laptop, EAC fails with 'login failure due to driver failure' error.
Adding user to local Admin group resolves driver failure error.
Local Users group has Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, and Read rights on the EAC and Program Files directories. These settings are the same for other laptops that allow members of Users group to launch EAC.
It seems pretty clear that it is a rights issue causing the failure, is there another directory that users require permissions on?
