Hello,

It's probably a stupid question but here I go. I always use auxiliary trunk board TN763D for loadspeaker / music with G650 gateways... what board/hardware can I use in a G450?

Thanks in advance!

2 wire analog station or trunk pack.
program as station or trunk interface to paging and you will access by dialing a station or TAC for the trunk-group.
trunk-group will be loop-start or ground-start depending on the paging equipment.

whether you use a station or a trunk will be determined by the paging equipment options that are available.

Hello AvayaTier3

So, with the G450 I can't use the TN763D... I think I understand about configuring the analog station or trunk pack for loadspeaker paging. How do I do for music on hold in the G450?

Thanks again for your help!

If I have an MM711 board in my cabinet, can I hook up the blue pair from one of the ports to a LINE OUT source from a CD player or FM Radio?, if so, how do I configure the analog port?.. just as a regular 2500 stat?.. do I need some type of protection between the port and the line out music source?

Thanks again!

I am confuse.. In the G450 installation guide it looks like I can use a TN763D board, right?... I always use the auxiliary trunk to configure overhead paging or music and is really easy. I am just not sure if I can use the board in the G450.

Thanks!

Ok, I just find the information in the installation guide and its says I can use a TN763 circuit pack.

Ok, now is more clear...

Music-on-hold can be provided:
? Through a port on an MM711 Analog media module to a customer-supplied music source
on a G450 Media Gateway
? Through a port on an MM711, MM714, or MM714B Analog media module to a
customer-supplied music source on a G450 Media Gateway
On a G450 Media Gateway, the music-on-hold feature is connected through a port on an
MM711, MM714, or MM714B Analog media module .
The G450 Media Gateway does not support an auxiliary trunk circuit pack. Therefore, for S8300
Server users, the music-on-hold feature through an auxiliary trunk is not supported. However,
G450 Media Gateway users with an S85X or S87XX Server as primary controller can access
the music-on-hold feature, if their equipment is physically connected to a TN763 auxiliary trunk
circuit pack in an EPN carrier of an S85XX or S87XX system.

So, I go back to my last question...If I have an MM711 board in my cabinet, can I hook up the blue pair from one of the ports to a LINE OUT source from a CD player or FM Radio?, if so, how do I configure the analog port?.. just as a regular 2500 stat?.. do I need some type of protection between the port and the line out music source?

Thanks again!

Excellent, that is very clear. Just reconfirming.. do I need some type of protection between the port and the line out music source? a resistance or something like that?..

Sorry to bother you.. Thanks again!
