Help is needed folks. I am tying a Cisco CCM and our Nortel 1000m together. The Cisco server is sitting in the same room as the Nortel and we are using a Line Side T-1 card for a connection. I had no trouble building the DCH, and RDB. However, when I go to add members to the PRI route, this is the command it asks for. I was expecting to see TRK (in which case the response is PRI). What am I doing wrong, or what is the correct response here?

The only proper responses that I can find to the command are: EXUT
ITG1
ITG2
XCOT
XDID
XEM
XFEM
XUT

Note: None of these allow me to add members to my PRI Route.

HELP!!!

maybe its becuase you're using a line side t1 card instead of a pri card such as a ntrb21 tmdi card or a ntak09 dti/pri card

Thank you for your kind response. Now could you please explain a little more in depth? The type would still be TIE and the XTRK command would still apply.

neither one, a line side t1 is a station card.. no dch, no route.. build port 0 (yes zero, not 1 like a trunk card) as new 500.. you don't need a line side t1 card.. that works great between a keysystem and a pbx.. between your pbx and the ccm you need the same type of card your using between your switch and the pstn.. i use dual pri's, smaller switches use the tmdi.. the only type that a line side will accept is 500 and of course you will not get ask for route and member..

Thanks for the explanation John. That helped alot. I do have a Dual PRI card that I can use and have connected it However, when I try to build the route it gives me this error.

Sch220 says: SCH0220
Wrong number of input fields for prompt RTMB.

Severity: Info

the swch code appears after I enter the Route and then space bar before the member.

First you have to build the route in 16

Then you when it asks for RTMB
you have to add the Route & the Member

i.e. 5 1

OK...got that corrected. It was built but was not in correct form. Now here is my new issue.

A non-PRI loop number was specified in the TN, but the route member is

the code is saying that loop 3 is not a pri card.. if it's still the line side t1 then it's not going to work.. the route is pri, the card is t1.. a tmdi card can have a d, a line side can not

you need to add a line for the new dual to match this one.. loop 18 is the only pri in the switch.. and it needs to read pri 18 24 esf.. the 23 was a type-o

delete loop 3 and rebuild it as a PRI. At the MODE prompt type PRI and not TRK

and you can't use 5.. you can use 2 and 3.. slot 0 and 1 are conf/tds.. 2 and 3 are blank 4 in a controller, and it takes speech paths 3,4,5,6 so the slot to the right of that controller can't be used for a dual

Yup, figured that one out too. I am going to move the DTI on 19 to 3 and use 19 as my PRI. Have to because of the MSDL cable. I think you guys got me on the right track.

Thank you and have a star.
