I have seen this asked a few times, but never a concrete solution. In the Definity I can light the VM lite for another extension on my phone, is there a way to do this in IPO(or even lite a button on my phone).

Ex: My physical extension is 100 and I have another extension of 200. When I receive a message in 200 I want to light 100 VM lite.

Please don't tell me about the Hunt Group feature, looking for a shortcode or someway to do this to turn on and off for users.

There is no auto message waiting feature similiar to the definity. Any other method currently would be a hack and possibly not useful.

Or does that only work for hunt groups? hmmmmmm gonna try it in lab.

5thmsstech,

I was going to try that in my lab too, let me know what you get. I thought it would work, but I believe it is just so they can dial right into their vm box from that number. I could be wrong.

Seems to only work with hunt groups bud. So the obvious
Work around is to make a hunt group with extension 200 in it and turn vmail off on ext 200 and use the huntgroup mailbox.
Which I think is the answer you didnt want to hear sorry.
But by doing this and adding H201 to the sourcenumber tab on both extensions. it would be pretty seemless. (H201 being just an example) Replace 201 with whatever extension you make the huntgroup.

Use the Huntgroup Mailbox, but do a other way to go to voicemail.

Make a Huntgroup like 201 and put H201 in the source number.

But make a shortcode like.

999
"#Huntgroupname"
0
Voicemail

Al you have to de is callfw no answer to 999 or what i like more is make a button callfw all to 999.

The the calls go directly to voicemail of 201 an al lights go on.

Also you can make a button where you can directly listen the voicemail of a huntgroup or just dail to voicemail and dail number and pincode.

If you have voicemail pro you can set up a call back node for 100 and and in source number enter P200. It won,t light the extension but will ring 200 and notifying a voicemail message.

Ha ha.. I figured that if he insisted on not using a hunt group then he is out of luck.
