I am trying to configure a LifeSize Phone to connect to my IP Office v6.1(20) via SIP. The LifeSize Phone is connected through a LifeSize Team video conferencing system.

After configuring the LifeSize Phone and IP Office I am able to receive calls on the LifeSize Phone, but I am not able to make calls from the phone.

Does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it?

Thanks.

I imagine it's something on the Lifesize kit, but not knowing how it works or how it's configured then it's hard to say :)

In the Avaya Manager on the extension, untick force authentication. Also the Auth Name in the lifesize needs to be a name the rest needs to be the extension number is im not mistaken. Also upgrade the Lifesize to the latest version the older firmware would not work.

Is "force authentication" the same as "Force Login" under the Supervisor settings?

If there was an authentication issue would I be able to receive inbound calls?

Do you know what the minimum version of LifeSize firmware is required? We are running firmware LS_TM1_4.1.1(17), which is the latest version of the LifeSize firmware for the version of the LifeSize Team unit we have.

Thanks.

force authentication" can be found in the SIP extension programming

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

I was able to find the issue. In the LifeSize configuration I had to configure the device to use VOIP for Voice Dialing.

Thanks for help.
