I have Outlook XP. some time ago I backed up my PST & then re-installed everything on my PC.
Now I want to go back to some old e-mails. My PST that I saved is 65MB but when I open it in Outlook XP, (by using file | open | outlook data file, there are no entries in any of the folders, and more worryingly, there is no inbox or any of the sub-folders that I used.
Please please please, can anyone tell me where within that 65MB is my data ?

Try creating a new PST file (temporary) and then file/import from your backup PST into that one. Be sure to include subfolders.

How did you create the backup? If it was by exporting, maybe you didn't include all folders? However then it shouldn't be so large.

Thanks for the tip. I tried this but it impoted nothing !
I still can't understand why a 65mb PST file has no content. I am desperate to try and find the e-mails within it!
