I have 3 sites on a MPLS Verizon managed network, each site is as follows:

Site A has 1.5m of dedicated VoIP on a 3m pipe. The software version is V2 6.1(12) Manager version is 8.1(12).

Site B has 1.5m dedicated VoIP on a 3m pipe. The software version is V2 6.0(18) Manager version is 8.0(8).

Site C has 768k dedicated VoIP on a 1.5m pipe. The software version is V2 6.0(8) Manager version is 8.1(0504).

The Codec is set to G729(a) 8k CS-ACELP Silent Suppression and Direct Media Path are both unchecked.

Basically what happens is when Site B and/or C call Site A, the user in site A randomly hears what can only be described as the user in B or C hitting mute for a few seconds. Users in B or C do not have this happen to them when connected to site A. There is not enough calling between B and C to generate a base if this happens between them at all.

This happens on calls generated from site A and for calls generated in B and C for site A.

We had "clipping" earlier in the installation but called Verizon to add the dedicated Gold CAR to all the sites.

Can anyone provide some further troubleshooting?

Thanks!

The voice is being carried by the network, if it isn't getting where it needs to be it's the network you need to look at, the systems have little influence on this kind of issue. Wireshark traces on both sides of the link can be compared to see what packets are not making it and possibly help narrow the issue down :)
