Can anyone provide some information regarding the resiliance of IPSI - Media Servers connections in an ESS environment.
Do the IPSI cards maintain connections with both servers in the active pair, or with just the active server in the active pair?
What would be the effect of a loss of network connection for the active server, a seemless failover to the backup server in that pair?
Do PKT-INT alarms indicate a loss of connectivity with just the active server or the pair of active servers?
How long do the IPSI's wait before moving onto the ESS servers (and possibily ESS2 servers)?
Background - Our G650 servers are separated from our S8720's by a WAN and I need to troubleshoot some PKT-INT alarms, if all my IPSI's display PKT-INT alarms for less than one minute, could this have been a problem with the connectivty of the active server or is more likely a routing issue.
