this is what I'm getting guys... I have tested SMTP connection OK with the telnet25 app from the customer site and recieved the test emails... head is hurting from banging it on the wall at this point. Hope you can help.... (pertinent information is starred out)

What are you using to send the emails? smtp server, gmail, office365, exchange?
 
Not going to lie, basic edition has its flaws and it wouldn't surprise me if it was an issue here. If you have everything configured correctly it should be very plug-n-play with an on-site smtp server. Can you monitor the smtp server to see if it is seeing anything attempt to connect? I'm sure you've done this, but I would also reboot the IPO as if it has an issue sending a message it will stop trying until the next time it is rebooted.
 
Also, delete all new messages from the mailbox you are using to test as I have seen it fail sending if there are already messages in the mailbox. Clear it out and start with no messages each time you test it.
 
We are able to monitor the SMTP server and we do not see any connect attempts from the public IP address of the site. Our SMTP server is off site, but has no issues with Samsung Officeserv VM to Email, so yeah, I do believe it is something with the IPO. I will try your suggestions. Maybe even default the vm to email programming, merge/reboot and re-enter it. I do remember in the past where things would get buggy with a user configs or something, and we would have to delete, and merge, and then re-program for things to smooth out.

Was this a mistake when you starred out the IP?

Or are you actually missing a whole octet?
 
The issue ended up being that the customer had an Apple Airport sitting next to the ISP router that I thought was a storage device. I had connected the IPO to the ISP router instead of the Airport. Once I realized this and connected/set new IP addresses, everything worked correctly. Thanks for the replies.
