I have a problem with a newly installed IP500 with Embedded VM. The ICR specifies differing AA messages dependent on Time Profiles. When the system switches from Day to Night service the AA Greeting Options (Night)message should kick in, but all that you can hear is a ticking for 10 secs before caller is cut off. I have upgraded the software to no avail. I have re-written the database and this seemed to sort the problem for a few weeks, however the problem has returned - gradually strangely enough - sometimes working sometimes not. I have had problems recording messages on the VM previously - could it simply be a fault with the CF?

i would say there is a conflict with your time profiles. the call might be going to AA but there is no message recorded for the time profile playing.

an easy way to confirm this is record onto the 3 options for AA so that you won't just get silence.

Thanks but I'm not sure that's the answer as it's been working fine for a couple of weeks, but has started being problematic over the last few days again. Initially, before I re-wrote the database, I actually forced the system to use night service AA 00:00 to 23:59 (default time profile)but it just ticked before cutting off. Another time the N/S message disappeared from the short code it was recorded under only to re-appear under another short code. Also, maybe 1 in 10 attempts at recording AA greetings worked after saving the recording. I suspected the CF card, but after the database re-write everything seemed fine until the gradual deterioration recently.

If you open the monitor and make a call is it going to an AA:.....?

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

It certainly is - to all intents and purposes it is going to where it should - where there is definitely a message recorded but all you hear is ticking.

I would delete then fire the prompts back on it and see if that helps, making sure you don't touch the licence .clp file.
