It is an IP500 with a 10-seat license. I think it was happening because we were adding a third party voice mail and the associated TAPI license, which resulted in several reboots. Today it seems to be fine except...at times the voice mail and the mobile decide to answer at the same time. The client has asked me if there is a way to turn off the internal voice mail when they are twinned so the mobile voice mail will always get the message when out of the office. And...I have seen several posts on this forum about the relationship between twinning appearances on phones and people actually twinning. Like...can everyone have a button and the 11th person gets blocked, or can only 10 people have buttons? Or can I use a combination of buttons (say 5 have it all the time) and short codes for the remainder?
pretty sure the licenses are dished out on a first come first served basis, in the same manner as phone manager pro, so you could set it up for all users nbut only the first ten to make use of it will get licenses
We have it had happen with a 406 with a seperate license key server. If the Ip office looses the key server and the licences become invalid it drops out all the twinning settings and you have to go in and reprogram them. we just load the last saved config file but its a pain. we have a site with over 60 twinning users. we havent had any problems with the IP500 to date. We switch internal voice mail off no answer time to 45 sec and divert on busy to the twinned mobile number (thats if you are twinning to a mobile) we use the mobile voicemail.
optel - I am not sure I understand completely what you mean by internal voice mail off no answer time to 45 seconds - if its off, why would it answer? And also - the divert on busy to the twinned number - what exactly do you mean by that? I have a client who is using twinning and is gonna be the deathe of me - trying every possible variable. Thanks for the valuable post - worth several stars to me.
The noanswer time is the time when it goes to the no answer destination
For mobile you need to be at least on 25 seconds but better higher then that
Turning off voicemail is a possibilty if you want the mobile voicemail
If you don't want that then you need to play with the voicemail timer
It must be between the noanswer time and the time it takes before the mobile voicemail answers
The licensekey should not be the problem in your case (ip500)
Let monitor run and then you can check what happens in the night
