Other than twinning which a lot of users really like using and find simple and reliable are uses using the integrated Avaya IP office Android app on cell phones? Is it reliable?

I haven’t used mobile twinning at all since deploying Workplace nearly 2 years ago. It works brilliantly.

What version is Workplace available for and is a license required?

You need Power user and a managed account profile in the Avaya Cloud platform (Spaces), with additional job if you use iOS (due to Apple Push Notification services)

Does this mean that the client has to now pay a cloud fee to use the app on their cell phone to access their IPO 500v2 server?

No. Avaya have announced end-of-sale for the licensed Avaya Spaces UI used for meetings. But everything else that goes through the Avaya Cloud services, such as Apple Push notifications, Workplace login using email addresses and/or SSO, and so on, is continuing without needing any cloud licenses.

That includes Spaces Calling which is nothing to do with the Avaya Spaces UI, just unfortunately shares 'Spaces' in its name.
