Currently I upgraded the software of my IP403, after putting the software upgrade on it and then rebooting the machine like I was instructed to do so; it will not power up properly. It just sits there with the RED LED on and the DS station lights are all lit up (yellow/green led's).

Has anyone else came across the problem before, and how do you fix it. I have attempted to go into hyper terminal with the DCE cable and use AT-DEBUG but I just get the ERROR message.

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance on this!
 
3.2(1701) was the version I upgraded to.

Plus, I am not able to see;

PremiSys Loader 0.6 (4MB-2xLV160 Flash-120nS SDRAM-10)
CPU Revision 0x0501

When I start up the system with Hyperterm it just sits there, and only responds to AT with the OK. Everything else is responded with ERROR.
 
when you do AT
it responds with ok

try then at-debug

your ip403 isoutof software

do exactly like the link provided by the provider
set the bootp and ipadres etc etc etc and reboot the ipo403
it should respondand pull the software
be sure you have the tftp open in manager

Ok, thanks for the info, it is back up in running! But, yes there is always a 'BUT'! Here are the versions I am currently running;

IP403 - 3.2(17)
DIG DCPx16 V2 - 6.0(7)

I am under the impression to get the DS16 to work with the base IP403 they have to be in the same software version? If so, where do I find a 6.0(7) for the IP403? Sorry for some of the dumbest questions possible, but this is my first Avaya system to work on, typically work on Vodavi and Cisco.
 
Your DS Module is on the wrong version.
The latter part in brackets should match your (17) in brackets.

If you use the upgrade.wiz of your manager this should have the bin files in its directory to do this.

also upgrade from that horrible horrible version of sw. :-)

itlooks like you tried to upgrade to 4.0

you used 4.0.7 so that is why your ds16 6.0.7

4.0 does not fiton your 403 so that is why it when in to the reboot loop

you can't go higher then 3.2
also go for 3.2.59 instead of 3.2.17

Ok, will upgrade to the '59' software...

By the way.. thank you for your help on this! I would have gone nuts on this system w/o help from t his site!
 
go for the latest 3.2
3.2.17 has some bugs
3.2.59 is the latest right now

Software upgrade has been completed to the 3.2(59) and the 5.2(59). Again thank you for your help!
