IP1616 Display

I have a customer playing about with their IP1616 phone. The top line of the display is blank where the extension number date & time are. I have tried to recreate this on another phone using the Menu settings but to no avail. I have defaulted & logged the phone back on but still the same thing.This is something stupid but has anyone a solution?

I think the user has an emty 'absent text' set using phonemanager.
Clear this again using phonemanager.

Thanks guys but I have tried both of these the empty absent leaves the centre screen blank not the top line & a clear all values just returns the phone to the way it was.I may need to delete & recreate the User on this one.Sometimes it is the little things that are most frustrating.

just been messing around with mine and can't replicate it.
If you go into the menus do characters display on those lines? just wondering if the screen is porked?

I have experienced the same thing. The only solution I could find was to recreate the extension. (No need to recreate the user) This seemes to be a problem when logging in/out of an extension. So if your customer has user that is logging on different ext. tell them to use *35 to log in and *36 to log out. Remember to set up the user with login code. The short code will be like this: Login: *35*"ext"*"login code# Ex: *35*505*1234#
