I have an IP Office 3.2 in a remote location. The local office manager is the one who helps with moves, adds, changes, etc. This person is having issues with Manager. I noticed this person has IP Office User Suite and IP Office Admin Suite. Does she need the User Suite? I am thinking the two apps might not be happy together. When she launches Manager she gets the following error message.

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

When she clicks continue the application doesn't load properly. Avaya suggested a repair on the application.

Wondering if the user suite is over kill and can be removed leaving the admin suite.

It is highly unlikely that there is any conflict between the Admin and User suite.

I'd un-install the admin suite totally and reinstall. If that doesn't work, may be un-install the admin suite and the dotnet framework and reinstall.

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I think every one of us that works with the IPO a lot has tons of User AND Admin stuff installed. Maybe the operating system is not compatible and when in doubt reinstall and use the latest version of 4.2 because that is backwards compatible to late 2.1

If you can't be good, be good at it!

they run together just fine. do the repair or better yet do a full uninstall reinstall.

I have seen this error in some versions of the newer Manager. It doesn't seem to cause any problems and if I remember rightly, it was something to do with Validation.

Get the latest version of Manager and it should be fine.
