Hi all. Is there anyone tried to integrate IP Office to a two-way radio device. My customer would like top integrate theirs and using Motorola brand.

Yes in fact we do using SIP, it is under beta testing right now and it is not with Motorola.

Hi @Interant do you have documents on how to implement this..? In your case, what document are you following. I'm thinking that your two-way radio is using IP right..?

We did this back in 2004. When SIP either wasn't supported or just supported.
I'll see what I can dig out tonight.

Launch Code: Midnight Sun

Thanks @Gunnar. I've downloaded it. So this two-way radio is actually using Radio Over IP rihgt? I have done this yet of course and it's like simple sip trunkin implementation I guess..?

@ Gunnar= Different bloke. He has fjords. We have inlets.

It was a pain in the arse is what I remember.
It needed SIP licensing and went out to the ip address of the radio 'server' if I remember right.
You'll just have to step through it one at a time. Get your SIP line, short codes and ARS set up at which point you hand it out to the radio 'server'

Launch Code: Midnight Sun

Oh sorry @Holdmusic.. Got the wrong acknowledgment.. Kinda little busy here. No offense @Gunnar.. [afro]
We all know two-way radio is half duplex, but did they use it to call city calls/NDD/IDD perhaps..??

This customer was to call their plumbers in their van in the field.

Launch Code: Midnight Sun

Really..? But have you tried to use this radio to call to at least city calls..? And I notice you have a SC on 24/10/2008 config:

Code:94xx
Feature:Dial
Telephone Number:."@10.10.64.85"
Line Group ID:101

What does "." do in ."@10.10.64.85"?

I reckon it was the radio number in the van (hosted by the radio 'server') IIRC.
Otherwise how could they call a specific van?

Launch Code: Midnight Sun

Fjords, indeed....and I drive on the right side of the road [thumbsup2]

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thanks @holdmusic for the help. I hope this is enough on my incoming implementation. [thumbsup2]
By the way, you @Gunnar use kinda profound words. Makes me little fuzzy..[pipe]

You can use an analog trunk or station level interface and it will work like a champ. We first did this some 25 years ago. We used vox circuit to close a contact that keyed the mic. Required a radio to telco interface. The radio vendor should be familiar with this arrangement.

We use a SIP trunk between radio interface and IP Office, the radio,s can call any number just like any extension and any IP Office extension or DDI number can call a specific radio or group of radio's.

@intrigrant I thought you said it's a two way communication? And now it can call any number just like any extension, roger..[bigears]
